Every class is a guided morning flow, so you always know what's happening and never feel out of your depth. We start with breath to settle in, move into mobility that opens up the hips, shoulders and spine, add a little gentle strength, then finish with a calm wind-down.
Come as you are and modify anything. Stephanie walks the room the whole time, and there's no rush and no pretzel poses on day one. You move at your own pace from the first breath.

Do I need to be flexible or experienced?
No. You don't need to touch your toes to start, and you don't need any experience. Every pose can be modified, so you build flexibility by showing up, not before you begin. Most people who walk in are stiff from work, training or life, which is exactly who this class is for.
It's great for BJJ members as recovery, and just as good for anyone in Stratford who simply wants to move better. No gi, no sparring, just a mat and comfortable clothes. Rest when you need to, breathe, and build from there.

What you'll get out of it.
Yoga pairs with your training and your everyday life. The gains are quiet at first, then you notice them everywhere: on the mats, at your desk, and getting off the floor.
- Mobility and flexibility for grappling and everyday life
- Breathing that leaves you calmer and more focused
- Recovery that helps you train more and get injured less
- Strength and balance built gradually, at your own pace

Just comfortable clothes you can move and stretch in, plus a water bottle. We provide mats for your free class, so there's nothing to buy before you start, though you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer it. Get to the room a few minutes early so Stephanie can say hi and get you settled.

Not at all. You don't need to touch your toes on day one. Every pose can be modified, and flexibility is something you build by showing up, not a requirement to walk in the door.
No. Yoga is open to everyone in Stratford, whether or not you set foot on the mats for jiu-jitsu. It's great for BJJ members as recovery, and just as good for anyone who wants to move and feel better.
