How to choose your first class.
BJJ Basics (Mon and Wed at 7pm, Fri at 6pm) is the right starting point for almost everyone. Same predictable format every session, so you always know what you're walking into, no surprises, no pressure to keep up. New to it all? The Open Mat / Intro to BJJ evenings (Tue and Thu at 7pm) are built for first-timers too.
NoGi / Submission Wrestling (Fri at 7pm, Sat at noon) is best layered in once your fundamentals feel solid. It's faster and grippier, and it lands better once the basics are second nature. Prefer daytime? Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Mon, Wed and Fri at 11am) and Open Mat (Tue and Thu at 11am) round out the week.
Kids and youth run a parallel pathway by age, Tots, Kids and Youth on weekday late afternoons, plus Saturday mornings, so younger members train with their own group at their own pace. We also run Kids/Youth Judo and Judo (Gi) on Sundays.
Women's Only BJJ (Tue and Thu at 6pm) is a smaller, supportive room and a popular entry point, a relaxed place to find your feet before mixing into the wider schedule. And if you want to move and stretch, Yoga runs Tue, Thu and Fri mornings.
One house rule worth knowing: bare feet on the mat only, flip-flops everywhere else. It keeps the training space clean for everyone.
Before you come in.
BJJ Basics for adults and teens, Monday, Wednesday or Friday evening. It runs the same format every session, so your first class and your tenth feel familiar. If you'd prefer a smaller room to start, Women's Only on Tuesday or Thursday is a great first step. For kids, we'll place your child in the right age group when you book.
For your free intro class, yes, book ahead so a coach knows you're coming and can meet you at the door. After that, you're welcome to just show up for any class on your membership. Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early so you have time to change and get settled.
That's plenty to start and plenty to progress. Pick one BJJ Basics slot that fits your week and keep it consistent, one steady class a week beats three you can't sustain. As life allows, you can always add a second or third session later.
