Come say hi.
Visit the academy, call or text, or send a message. We are on Downie Street in Stratford and happy to help you find the right class.
Walk in curious. Walk out hooked.
Send a note and a real coach replies the same day. Your first class is on us. No pressure, no contracts, no catch.
Other ways to reach us.

What happens after you reach out.
Whether you book online, call or email, a real coach replies the same day, no automated drip, no phone-tree, no salesperson. Just a quick, friendly note to sort out a time that suits you.
Not ready to commit to a class yet? You can always just drop by during open hours and watch from the lobby. Stay five minutes or stay the whole class: there's no pressure to step on the mats until you're ready.
We're proud to train people from Stratford and the surrounding Perth County towns, St. Marys, Mitchell, Sebringville, Tavistock and Listowel, plus commuters from Kitchener-Waterloo and London who make the drive worth it.
Answers to the questions people ask us before their first class.
Is the intro class actually free?
Yes. No card required, no auto-enrol, nothing to cancel. Come in, train, go home. If it's not for you, that's fine, no hard sell.
How long is the intro class, and what does it cover?
About 60 minutes on the mats: a proper warm-up, a walkthrough of two or three fundamental positions, and some light, controlled practice with a partner. The coach adjusts pace and intensity to you, not the other way around. New people never get thrown to the wolves.
Do I need a gi or any gear?
No. Wear athletic shorts (no zippers, no pockets, no buttons) and a fitted t-shirt or rashguard. Bring a water bottle. If you decide to keep training, we'll help you get sized for a gi, no rush.
I've never done any martial arts. Will I be embarrassed?
You won't. Everyone in the room started where you are, and the coaches remember it. First class is about learning the shape of jiu-jitsu, not competing. You leave knowing more than you walked in with, that's the whole bar.
Can I bring my child to try a class?
Absolutely. Book a free kids or youth intro through the form above (choose "Kids / Youth / Teens BJJ") and we'll pair them into the age-appropriate class. Parents are welcome to watch from the lobby, most do for the first few sessions.
I'm out of shape. Should I get fit first, then start?
No. Jiu-jitsu is how you get fit. There's no fitness prerequisite for an intro, and the beginner classes are built around movement patterns you can pick up regardless of where you're starting. Two weeks in, you'll notice a difference.
What happens if I decide to sign up after the trial?
We'll show you the pricing options in person (monthly, family rate, etc.) and get you set up with a proper starter schedule. Month-to-month, no long-term contracts, cancel any time.
Come say hi.
One free class. No pressure, no contract, no experience needed. The hardest part is walking through the door. We make that part easy.
