Women's only jiu-jitsu in Stratford.
A beginner-friendly, women's only room that follows the same BJJ Basics curriculum in a smaller, supportive setting. The focus leans into practical self-defence, all ages and body types are welcome, and your first class is free. No experience needed, and no ego on the mats.

It's a calmer, smaller room, and it runs the same shape every time so you always know what's happening. A light warm-up to get moving, a technique of the day broken down step by step, focused drilling with a partner at your own pace, then positional work where you try it out against gentle resistance.
You're paired with a friendly training partner and a coach walks the room the whole time. There's no throwing you to the wolves on day one, and nothing happens faster than you're comfortable with.

I've never trained, and I don't want to be the only woman in the room.
That's exactly who this class is for. It's a women's only space, and it's genuinely beginner-friendly, so most people who walk in have never trained before. There's no ego on the mats and nobody expects you to know anything on day one.
Jiu-jitsu rewards technique over strength, which is the whole point: leverage is the equaliser, so you don't need to be the biggest or strongest person in the room. You move at your own pace from the first class, and you build from there.

What you'll learn.
You learn the same fundamentals as our BJJ Basics program, just in a smaller, supportive room. The format is the same every session, so the learning compounds week over week.
- The BJJ Basics curriculum, taught in a supportive, smaller room
- Practical self-defence for all ages and body types
- Positional control and escapes, so you're never stuck
- Technique and leverage over strength, at your own pace
- A clear path into the mixed classes when you're ready

Just athletic clothes, a t-shirt and shorts or leggings, plus a water bottle and a pair of flip-flops for walking off the mats. We provide a loaner gi for your free class, so there's nothing to buy before you start. Come with clean feet and cut nails, and get to the mats a few minutes early so a coach can say hi.

Yes, and most women in the room started exactly the same way. It's a beginner-friendly, women's only class, so you'll learn the fundamentals step by step with others doing the same. Nobody expects you to know anything on day one.
No. Jiu-jitsu is built on technique and leverage, not raw strength, leverage is the equaliser, which is exactly why it works for all ages and body types. You move at your own pace and get in shape by training, not before you start.
It's real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the same BJJ Basics curriculum trained in the gi, with the focus leaning into practical self-defence. When you're ready, you'll have a clear path into the mixed classes.
